Why homeowners across the GTA choose Trane
Founded in Wisconsin, USA in 1885 and incorporated in 1913, Trane has over 130 years of experience in heating and cooling homes and workplaces. With more than 29,000 employees doing business in over 100 countries, Trane is a premier leader in HVAC and is trusted throughout North America and around the world.
Trane has been awarded America's Most Trusted HVAC Brand for four consecutive years. Their trademark slogan — "It's Hard to Stop a Trane" — has permeated media for well over 20 years, and their reputation for reliability is backed by real testing: Trane conducts more equipment testing than any other manufacturer, with a Systems Extreme Environmental Test (SEET) Lab in Tyler, Texas that puts every product through years of accelerated wear before it ships.
Trane builds their furnaces in Trenton, New Jersey and their air conditioners in Tyler, Texas. Because of that extreme-environment testing, Trane equipment is ideally suited to Canadian climates where deep-cold winters and humid summers put real stress on residential HVAC. As your Toronto Trane Dealer, Energy Clean has access to Trane's full product lineup — from the entry-level XR16 through the fully variable XV20i.
Trane Comfort Specialist
A designation given to only the most elite Trane dealers in Canada. TCS dealers must exceed Trane's rigorous training, technical, and customer-experience benchmarks every year to keep the badge — most Trane dealers in Ontario don't hold it.
Why homeowners pick Trane
SEET-tested for Canadian winters
Trane's Tyler, TX lab runs equipment through -40°C cold-soak and prolonged heat cycles. That translates to real-world reliability across GTA winters and summers.
Full product breadth
Trane makes single-stage, two-stage, and variable-speed furnaces; 14-SEER through 22-SEER air conditioners; and cold-climate heat pumps — one manufacturer, one warranty, one technician who knows the whole line.
Serviceable 20+ years out
Because Trane doesn't churn model platforms, parts stay available deep into a system's life. When we install a Trane, we install something we'll still be able to service a decade later.

Trane questions, answered
A TCS is a dealer that has been vetted and certified by Trane against benchmarks for technical training, customer service, warranty follow-through, and business practices. Only a small fraction of Canadian Trane dealers hold the designation, and it must be renewed annually. Energy Clean has held it for years.
For most GTA homes, a two-stage or variable-speed Trane furnace (S9V2 or S9V2-VS) matched with a modulating thermostat gives the best combination of comfort and running cost. Single-stage builder-grade furnaces are cheaper up front but run harder in shoulder seasons. We'll size the equipment properly against your actual home — not a rule of thumb.
Yes — the Trane XV19-CC (cold climate) variable-speed heat pump maintains rated heating capacity to -25°C and delivers useful heat well below that. Paired with a Trane furnace as backup, it's the highest-rebated setup in Ontario ($7,500 through the Home Renovation Savings program).
Trane residential furnaces and air conditioners include a 10-year parts limited warranty when registered within 60 days of install (which we handle for you). Some Trane XV models carry additional heat exchanger or compressor coverage. As a TCS, we file every warranty claim on your behalf — you don't chase the manufacturer.

Not every dealer earns the TCS badge. If Trane is what you want, we're one of the few dealers in the GTA who can install it — and back it — the way Trane intends.
