It's engineered by Trane, built in Trane's North American plants, and covered by Trane's dealer network — but the feature set is simpler (mostly single-stage) and the SEER ratings top out lower than Trane's flagship XV line. If you don't need variable-speed comfort control and want the most reliable dollar-for-dollar option, RunTru is exactly right.
RunTru units carry a 10-year parts limited warranty when registered within 60 days (we handle registration for you). It's the same warranty structure Trane XL units get — the difference is in features, not coverage.
Yes. RunTru is fully compatible with Trane thermostats, coils, and cabinets, so we can mix tiers where it makes sense — say, a Trane XV18 variable-speed AC (for humidity control) with a RunTru 96% two-stage furnace. We'll design the pairing that gives you the best comfort per dollar.
Some RunTru heat pumps qualify for the Home Renovation Savings rebate. To hit the maximum $7,500 rebate you'll typically need Trane's XV19-CC variable-speed cold-climate unit. We'll tell you exactly which RunTru or Trane models qualify and file the paperwork.
