Founded in Osaka, Japan in 1924, Daikin is the world's largest HVAC manufacturer — and has been for years. What sets Daikin apart is the depth of their inverter and heat-pump engineering: VRV/VRF technology (variable refrigerant flow) that Daikin invented is now standard in the industry, and their residential mini-splits and Fit-series ducted units bring that same commercial-grade engineering into single-family homes.

In North America, Daikin's Waller, Texas plant is one of the most advanced HVAC manufacturing facilities on the continent — a fully integrated site where the same team designs, tests, and builds each system. That vertical integration is why a Daikin Fit air handler is measurably slimmer and quieter than the comparable Trane or Carrier unit, and why Daikin's residential warranty is one of the strongest in the industry.
